BAM TENNIS Mission Statement

At BAM TENNIS, our mission is to cultivate a passion for the game while shaping well-rounded athletes and individuals. We believe tennis is more than a sport—it is a lifelong pursuit that develops discipline, confidence, resilience, and teamwork.

We are dedicated to providing high-quality instruction, training programs, and recreational opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. Through expert coaching, intentional mentorship, and a positive learning environment, we help athletes achieve their personal best both on and off the court.

Our commitment extends beyond technical skill. We strive to build a community that values sportsmanship, respect, and personal growth. Whether preparing athletes for competitive play or encouraging families to enjoy the game together, BAM TENNIS exists to make tennis accessible, enjoyable, and impactful for everyone we serve.

"Tennis is more than just a sport; it's a lifelong passion. At BAM Tennis, we cultivate excellence and sportsmanship through our commitment to the game."

Barret Andrew McKay (B.A.M.) grew up in Alberta, Canada, where his lifelong love for tennis first took root. After competing collegiately, he transitioned into recreational and competitive play, channeling his passion into coaching, officiating, and eventually sharing the court with his daughters. The initials of his name inspired BAM Tennis—a brand built on energy, precision, and accessibility.

Barret is a USTA-certified official, NCAA college official, and Safe Play–approved coach, bringing both professionalism and care to every lesson and match. Alongside his tennis career, he has spent more than 12 years as a physical education teacher, giving him a strong foundation in teaching athletes of all ages and abilities.

Through BAM Tennis, Barret combines years of playing, coaching, and officiating experience with a deep commitment to making the sport welcoming to everyone—whether it’s kids picking up a racket for the first time, adults rediscovering the game, or athletes chasing the next level. And when he’s not coaching or officiating, you’ll still find him happiest on the court—especially when he’s playing with his two daughters, who share his love for the game.
